Czero wins Colorado Companies to Watch award for contributions to Colorado economy

June 9, 2015

Czero announced today that it has been named one of the Colorado Companies to Watch. Czero provides early-stage product development services for clients in the renewable energy, oil and gas, clean technology industries—among Colorado’s fastest-growing industries—as well as in the automotive sector.

The award, supported by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade and the Colorado Workforce Development Council, endorsed by the Edward Lowe Foundation, and presented by UMB Bank, honors second-stage companies that contribute significantly to the growth and strength of Colorado’s economy. In particular, this includes companies that develop valuable products and services, create quality jobs, enrich communities, and expand opportunities for Coloradans in new industries. Czero was one of 50 Colorado Companies to Watch chosen from more than 1,000 nominees.

“Chris Turner and I founded Czero with a clear vision that we wanted to help develop innovative technologies that make a difference in how the world approaches meeting our energy needs. We chose Colorado because of the state’s long-standing commitment to this goal and tapped into the exceptional ecosystem of entrepreneurs and innovators that we have here. Our continued growth has enabled us to contribute to our community and our state’s economy in significant ways. We’re especially grateful to our talented team, whose dedication, creativity and hard work have made our success possible.”—Guy Babbitt, CEO, Czero

“We are pleased to recognize Czero for their outstanding contribution in fueling the economic fire of Colorado. Thank you, Czero,” says David Tolson, board chairman of Colorado Companies to Watch.

Colorado Companies to Watch works to recognize the driving economic forces in the state by focusing not only on growth but also on the impact and influence of specific organizations. By focusing on second-stage companies across the state, the program offers distinct insight into the state’s economic landscape and recognizes organizations for the critical impact they have in their industries, communities and regions, as well as on the state as a whole.

In May of this year, Czero was also named to the 2015 Mercury 100 as one of Northern Colorado’s fastest-growing private companies.
