A Year of Engineering Tomorrow
As we wrap up the year, we want to extend a heartfelt thank-you, whether we connected at an event, explored a project idea, or simply shared a conversation about what’s next in energy and innovation. Below you’ll find a few highlights from the year: projects that reflect our commitment to solving hard engineering problems with smart, sustainable solutions. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright start to the New Year. Guy Babbitt & the Czero Team

Novel Methanol Synthesis Microchannel Reactor
Czero partnered with Nexceris (Prime) and three other sub-awardees to support the development of e-fuels via a novel methanol synthesis microchannel reactor operating on intermittent renewables, as part of an ARPA-E GREENWELLS program.
Wave Harvesting
Since 2018, Czero has been working closely with CalWave, providing engineering services to further develop their award-winning Wave Energy Converter (WEC) technology with the aid of funding by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
We Celebrated One Year of Quixik
This year marked the first full year of Quixik Machining & Fabrication, and we couldn’t be more proud of how this team has grown. Working side by side with Czero engineers, Quixik has turned ambitious concepts into hardware faster, tighter, and with greater control over quality and cost. It’s been a true partnership in problem-solving, and we’re just getting started.
Startups, Partnerships & Community
From hosting happy hours to cleaning up our community, we hosted networking events including happy hours with Activate during NREL IGF, and with Colorado Cleantech and Warehouse Innovation at Forge Campus, and we loved every chance to connect with our partners and community.
We also enjoy welcoming visitors into our own space in Fort Collins; if you’re in town and would like a tour, we’d be happy to show you around. Closer to home, our team has been caring for the natural area behind our office, Goose Hollow. We’re grateful to experience community at both large and local scales.
Conversations That Moved the Needle
We love digging into these questions with founders and program leaders, and we’re excited to keep the conversation going in 2026.
Cleantech Open, Hardtech Problems Are Different: Guy Babbitt was hosted by Ken Hayes and Ryan Hoover from Cleantech Open to explore how to thoughtfully apply “fail fast” principles to hardtech development.
Scale for ClimateTech, Scale Smarter, Not Harder: Czero’s team unpacked program execution for hardtech, faster prototype build & testing, and practical techno-economic frameworks, plus audience Q&A on real deployment hurdles.
Fueling Innovation Together
At Czero, we know progress happens when the right partners come together. That’s why we work alongside startups, accelerators, and funders to accelerate technology at every stage. Let’s talk about your 2026 engineering goals.
